Taking into account a number of publications in mass media about small hydropower engineering development in Ukraine, including building of small water power plants on the Carpathian rivers, the Agency appeals to mass media representatives to refer to the verified data in their materials and be correct in formulations.

Energy efficiency passports for residential and public buildings to be introduced in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Draft Law № 9683 at the first reading. According to the Draft Law, energy efficiency passport of the building is required for construction of new buildings, as well as overhaul, reconstruction, disposition or lease (rent) of buildings. The validity of this energy passport is 10 years.
European Solar Days – 2012 – International campaign aimed at promotion of solar energy use – in European countries.

In Ukraine, Solar Days took place for the second time. Thematic lessons and lectures in educational institutions, open days and tours, competitions and demonstration events were held in the framework of the campaign. Educational institutions and commercial companies, public organizations and ordinary citizens, creative teams and media took part in the campaign.
Azarov: Energy saving and energy independence of Ukraine are priorities for us.
